Coming from a diverse range of industries and backgrounds, NJBIA’s Board of Trustees represents the diversity and strength of New Jersey’s business community. In this year-long series, we spotlight these leaders, delving into their professional lives, but more so their off-the-grid penchants and activities.

Epitomizing strong leadership and strategic vision, Timothy Corriston is Connell Foley’s managing partner and a member of the firm’s executive committee. With extensive experience in complex litigation, he dedicates himself to understanding the details of each dispute and crafts personalized strategies to address his clients’ needs.
Corriston is a trusted advisor to businesses ranging from startups to mature companies. Acting as outside general counsel, he also advises companies on day-to-day legal matters that can affect their bottom lines, such as strategy, contracts, and issues related to employment matters.
He is a skilled attorney who is “born to run” quickly to a Bruce Springsteen concert. He has seen “The Boss” at least 75 times, with his first show being at the Capitol Theater in Passaic in 1978. The last Springsteen show he attended was this past summer.
A true Jersey boy at heart, Corriston’s favorite TV show is the “Sopranos” because he says it captures the essence of New Jersey.

Gary Fisch has built a distinguished career in the wine industry with Madison-based Gary’s Wine & Marketplace, which he founded in 1987. His expertise and knowledge of wine earned him recognition as “Retailer of the Year” by Beverage Dynamics magazine in 2012 and 2018, 2021, and 2022, and by Market Watch magazine in 2014. Fisch has also pioneered innovations in the industry, including being one of the first wine retailers to carry a wide selection of gourmet cheese and charcuterie, as well as one of the first wine retailers to sell wine online.
A big fan of history, Fisch recently finished “The Demon of Unrest” by Erik Larson. “It’s a book about the Civil War and this story made the period come alive,” he says.
Billy Joel is his favorite performer, with Fisch first seeing the musician live in 1977. Since then, he has seen him multiple times. His favorite Joel lyric? … “a bottle of red, a bottle of white,” of course.
