BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham | Robbinsville

The BAPS Swaminarayan Akshardham is a landmark of Hindu Architecture and Culture in New Jersey. Spanning 185 acres and standing 191 feet tall, Akshardham is a magnificent Mahamandir (Hindu house of worship) carved in stone according to ancient Hindu scriptures. It is the second largest Hindu mandir in the world and one of the most unique Hindu stone mandirs built in the last 600 years. 

Skylands Museum of Art | Lafayette

With more than 300 works of sculpture, paintings, illustrations and more, the Skylands Museum of Art is the only fine art museum in Sussex County. In nine rooms over three floors are thoughtfully curated examples of approachable surreal and realistic works exploring fairy tales, dragons, sacred spaces, the human psyche, heads and flowers, Baba Yaga (a Ukrainian fairy tale), animals and mythology. On permanent display are the talents of well-known 20th and 21st century artists including Pablo Picasso, Salvador Dali, Leonor Fini, Brian Froud, Michael Parkes and Ailene Fields.
