Profiles in Success: AT&T

In New Jersey, AT&T invested more than $1.9 billion in our network infrastructure from 2019-2023 to connect more people to greater possibility.

We know how important it is for our customers to stay connected, whether you’re learning or working, creating or sharing, vacationing along the shore or relaxing at home. We’re working to help everyone get the best possible AT&T experience wherever they live, work and play.

From rural communities to urban areas, our overall wireless voice and data network covers more than 99% of all Americans, including New Jersey.

We’re also ramping up performance in high traffic areas, such as airports, stadiums and venues, like Newark Liberty International Airport; MetLife Stadium; Riverview Plaza in Trenton, and Red Bull Stadium in Harrison.

As America’s public safety’s communications partner, we’re also giving more of the public safety community access to their network. With FirstNet, we’re helping to connect public safety agencies and organizations in communities across the state.

FirstNet includes unique benefits like always-on priority and, for first responders, preemption, high-quality Band 14 spectrum and a one-of-a-kind 5G experience to keep public safety mission ready. We’ve rolled out Band 14 on nearly 1,300 sites across New Jersey to provide public safety with truly dedicated coverage and capacity when they need it.

And we’re not just investing in our network, we’re also investing in our communities. AT&T recently announced its committing an additional $3 billion by 2030 to help close the digital divide, bringing the company’s total commitment to $5 billion since 2021. We created AT&T Connected Learning to invest in digital inclusion, digital literacy, and digital learning solutions. In New Jersey, we’ve collaborated with organizations like Hopeworks in Camden, the Salvation Army Atlantic City, All Things are Possible Foundation and the NJ Association of Counties Foundation as part of our commitment to help bridge the digital divide.
