Tsounakis Named VP / Commercial and Industrial Loan Officer at Kearny Bank

Verona resident Dimitrios Tsounakis has been named vice president / commercial and industrial loan officer at Kearny Bank. His will focus on cultivating and managing relationships with commercial lending clients and contributing to the bank’s overall strategic growth in the business banking sector.

“Our commercial lending business has been expanding steadily, so we brought Dimitrios aboard to add oversight and additional expertise that we’re confident will increase the momentum,” says Robert Melchionne, Kearny Bank senior vice president / director of C&I lending. “Based on his background, we’re confident he’ll be a valuable asset to us and our commercial clients.”

Melchionne adds that business loans serve as the foundation of long-term banking relationships. Once a client receives a loan, he says, the next step is deepening that connection with a goal of Kearny Bank eventually supporting all their business and personal banking needs, now and into the future.

Prior to joining Kearny Bank, Tsounakis – who earned a bachelor’s in business administration from William Paterson University – held management-level positions at a number of other financial institutions. He volunteers his time in support of multiple organizations, including the Food Bank of New Jersey, the Greek American Chamber of Commerce, and the Commerce and Industry Association of New Jersey.
