Bergen New Bridge Medical Center Announces Implementation of Epic

Bergen New Bridge Medical Center announced its implementation of Epic, the world’s leading electronic health record (EHR) platform. The adoption of Epic is expected to streamline operations, enhance clinical decision-making, and dramatically improve a patient’s experience across acute, behavioral health, long-term care, and ambulatory settings.

“This is more than a technology upgrade — it’s a fundamental transformation in how we deliver care,” said Deborah Visconi, President and CEO of Bergen New Bridge Medical Center. “With Epic, we are strengthening the continuity of care, expanding health equity, and empowering both patients and clinicians with tools that make healthcare more human, personalized, and accessible.”

Epic will strengthen Bergen New Bridge’s role in regional care delivery by aligning it with top health systems across the country already using Epic, enabling more seamless information-sharing for patients who receive care in multiple systems.

“Bergen New Bridge has an inspiring vision for using technology to advance community-wide health,” said Leela Vaughn, Vice President, Epic. “We’re proud to support their efforts by providing an integrated health record that empowers care teams and enhances the patient experience across the region.”

Epic’s health system suite has been ranked number one in the nation for 15 years by KLAS Research and has been chosen by more than 73,000 hospitals and clinics. More than 90% of U.S. medical students and residents train on Epic as their primary residency EHR.

Following the 18-month implementation, Bergen New Bridge is scheduled for a go-live date with Epic early 2027. More details about the implementation and timeline will be shared as they become available.
