Event: ‘After the Applause: The Impact of a World Cup’

The New Jersey Small Business Growth Council, in partnership with St. Benedict’s Prep, Latina Surge National, and the UNITY/Evolvere Chamber, is holding “After the Applause: The Impact of a World Cup,” a free event that will focus on the legacy of the upcoming FIFA World Cup 2026 in New Jersey. To be held at 6 p.m. on March 10, at St. Benedict’s Prep School in Newark, the event will feature a panel discussion on the long-lasting impact of this summer’s World Cup games on the sport and businesses in the state. Panelists will include: Luis De la Hoz, senior vice president and New Jersey market manager for PNC Bank and chair of the Statewide Hispanic Chamber of Commerce of New Jersey, NJ Senate Majority Leader M. Teresa Ruiz; Lauren LaRusso, co-host city manager and general counsel of the NY/NJ FIFA Host Committee, Erik Stover and Baye-Adolfo Wilson of the New York Cosmos, and Jim Wandling, St. Benedict’s Prep Soccer coach.
