This past Monday, the New Jersey STEM Pathways Network (NJSPN), an initiative of the Research & Development Council of New Jersey, marked the celebration of New Jersey STEM Month 2025 with their annual STEM Showcase at the State House in Trenton.
The showcase brought over 20 New Jersey legislators, both Senate and General Assembly, together with students, educators, school, and nonprofits, to celebrate STEM education and workforce development initiatives. The annual event offers policymakers a firsthand look at the high-quality STEM programs shaping the future of the Garden State.
Originally launched as NJ STEM Week, the celebration was expanded to a month-long observance in 2018 through ceremonial legislative resolution and gubernatorial proclamation, with support from Gov. Phil Murphy’s administration and now-State Senator Andrew Zwicker (District 16). Today, NJ STEM Month honors the achievements and advancements in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics throughout the state, with more than 100 events held annually and a social media campaign using #NJSTEMMonth.
“The State House STEM Showcase is a signature event of New Jersey STEM Month,” said Kim Case, executive director of the Research & Development Council of New Jersey. “This is where the rubber meets the road and legislators see the actual impact that’s been made possible through the marriage of private dollars and funding in the New Jersey state budget.”
This year’s State House STEM Showcase featured 15 dynamic organizations:
To further celebrate these efforts, NJSPN distributed a STEM Showcase Booklet highlighting participating New Jersey STEM Month organizations. A digital version is available at: https://online.flippingbook.com/view/822645880/
