Opened in 2021, the County College of Morris’ (CCM) state-of-the-art Advanced Manufacturing and Engineering Center (AMEC) features cutting-edge technology in a high-tech learning environment. AMEC fosters collaboration between students, faculty, and industry partners, ensuring graduates are equipped with the latest skills and innovations. The center serves as a resource for companies looking to upskill their current workforce.
CCM offers degree, certificate, and workforce programs in advanced manufacturing and engineering, preparing students for high-paying, in-demand careers. The college’s apprenticeship and bootcamp programs provide hands-on experience, directly connecting students with employers eager to hire skilled professionals. These programs provide students with seamless entry into the workforce or transfer their associate degree to a four-year institution to further their education.
As a leader in education and workforce training, CCM has been serving the residents and businesses of Morris County for nearly 60 years.

The Advanced Materials & Manufacturing Institute (AMMI) in the Henry M. Rowan College of Engineering at Rowan University was founded in 2019 to develop new materials and manufacturing methods to enhance part performance, reduce waste and accelerate production rates. Its research activities are supported by a mix of private industry and government agencies.
AMMI is powered by a group of engineering faculty, staff, students, postdoctoral fellows and research scientists, working in collaboration with external partners. Research facilities include versatile labs and state-of-the-art characterization and performance testing instrumentation, assets that are available for fee-for-service and fixed-price opportunities, among other partnership arrangements. AMMI’s Cold Spray Lab features an industrial cold spray robotic system and custom-produced mini cold spray units, allowing for revolutionary production, protection, repair, and restoration of advanced parts for a wide range of applications.
A primary project with the U.S. Army Research Laboratory will develop new “super” materials using innovative manufacturing techniques while training the next workforce.
