The New Jersey Small Business Development Center at The College of New Jersey (NJSBDC at TCNJ) and New Brunswick Tomorrow (NBT) opened a new satellite office inside NBT’s existing location at 390 George St. The partnership brings no-cost business counseling services directly to aspiring and established small business owners across Middlesex County and surrounding communities.
“This collaboration strengthens our ability to serve the Middlesex area’s small business community in a meaningful and consistent way,” said Lilian Mauro, regional director of NJSBDC at TCNJ. “Our satellite office at NBT allows us to provide direct, hands-on guidance for new and established business owners to ramp up, stabilize and/or grow. Our goal is to ensure practical tools, sound strategy and support is available to help them make informed decisions and build long-term sustainability.”
NBT provided funding to host the satellite office at its location as part of its dedication to advancing economic vitality in the region and ensuring local entrepreneurs have access to information and resources needed to thrive. Through this expanded presence, those interested can access individualized guidance on business startup and registration; business plan development; marketing strategy and digital presence; financial management and bookkeeping; access to capital (grant eligibility/SBA loan prep); small business certifications as well as government contracting information and A.I. readiness strategies. Services are provided in English and Spanish.
“Partnering with NJSBDC at TCNJ is an exciting leap forward in our work to stimulate inclusive economic development in New Brunswick and beyond” stated Jaymie Santiago, president and CEO of New Brunswick Tomorrow. “Our investment in this satellite office is an investment in Central Jersey’s entrepreneurs and small business owners. At NBT, we know that when small businesses succeed, families build wealth and neighborhoods thrive.”
