Welcome to the 2026 New Good Neighbor Awards nomination form.  This award recognizes the economic development impact of new, renovated, or expanded plants, office and commercial buildings, retail centers (excluding individual stores within shopping centers), and green community projects/urban redevelopment (i.e. streetscapes, parks).

Nominated projects must be commercial or mixed-use developments.

Construction or capital expenditures at the nominated facility must have been completed during the past two years, between January 1, 2024, and December 31, 2025.  Award winners will be notified by the end of April 2026.

Nomination Process

To nominate a project, please complete the following Stage 1 form.  A nomination letter must be included, describing the merits of the project and how it impacts the economic well-being of the community and the State of New Jersey.  There is an upload link on the form below, which is where you will attach the letter.

All winning projects will be notified by the end of April and will be awarded a New Good Neighbor Winning Facility Plaque along with recognition in the July 2026 issue of New Jersey Business Magazine.  If you have any questions, please contact Lisa Criscuolo, Publisher, 973-852-6225, or via e-mail at [email protected].

Once the nomination form below is filled out, you will receive a confirmation email including a link to the State 2 form requesting additional information on the nominated project, to be used by our judging committee. (Failure to fill out the Stage 2 form by the deadline of April 13, 2026, means an automatic disqualification.)

      Upload in MS Word, or PDF format: There must be a nominating letter, addressed to “NGN Judging Committee.” This letter should: a. Not exceed two pages or 750 words. b. Be printed on the nominator’s letterhead and signed by the nominator. c. Emphasize the nominated facility’s architectural merit, economic benefit (such as jobs created), and community involvement.
