RWJBarnabas Raises the Final Beam for New Multi-Specialty Center in Howell

RWJBarnabas Health recently raised the final steel beam of its new three-story, 67,000-square-foot Multi-Specialty Center in Howell Township, alongside joint venture partners New Jersey Imaging Network, Seaview Orthopaedics, and Family First Urgent Care.

Construction of the center is expected to be completed in late 2026 or early 2027 in partnership with Rendina Healthcare Real Estate. The facility will contain an ambulatory surgery center and office space for New Jersey Imaging Network, Family First Urgent Care, and RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group’s heart and vascular providers.

RWJBarnabas Health leadership – including Mark Manigan, president and CEO, RWJBarnabas Health; Eric Carney, president and CEO of Monmouth Medical Center; and Michael Prilutsky, executive vice president, chief executive officer, RWJBarnabas Health Medical Group – along with clinicians and project partners, were on-site to add their signatures to the final beam before it was raised into place.

“This represents more than a construction milestone — it reflects RWJBarnabas Health moving forward on our mission to deliver world-class care in the communities we serve,” said Manigan. “This new facility will play a key role in delivering more convenient, connected outpatient and specialty care for patients in Central New Jersey.”

The new facility will be located at 783 Route 9 in Howell Township and will expand access to multispecialty services for patients in Monmouth and Ocean counties. This expansion further strengthens RWJBarnabas Health’s growing presence and investment in the region, including the recent openings of the Toms River West Ambulatory Surgery Center and a new School of Nursing in Oceanport.

“This new Multi-Specialty Center is designed around the patient experience — bringing imaging, urgent care, surgery, and specialty services together in one location,” said Carney. “It will make it easier for individuals and families in the region to receive seamless, coordinated care close to home.”

“Our work with RWJBarnabas Health has always been focused on aligning real estate strategy with clinical goals,” said Richard M. Rendina, chairman and chief executive officer of Rendina Healthcare Real Estate. “Today’s beam signing marks an important milestone in that effort as this facility takes shape. The project is part of an ongoing commitment to extend outpatient services into the community, making care more accessible while supporting RWJBarnabas Health’s long-term growth strategy.”
