Kennedy Named Government Affairs Advisor at Connell Foley

Sean Kennedy has been named government affairs advisor at the law firm of Connell Foley.  A well-known and highly respected government affairs professional who provides strategic guidance to clients involved in political and regulatory matters, Kennedy has extensive experience developing policies, leading campaigns, building relationships statewide, and business development, facilitating connections between the public and private sectors.

Prior to his current role at Connell Foley, Kennedy served as director of CGI’s New Jersey state and local business. He has also held positions such as vice president of government affairs and external partnerships at Rowan University, and director of government and external relations at Rowan School of Osteopathic Medicine. In addition, Kennedy has led numerous successful political campaigns in New Jersey, including founding and directing a SuperPAC for the most expensive legislative campaign in US history. He previously worked as associate executive director overseeing communications for the NJ Senate Majority Office and has experience leading business development efforts for renowned civil engineering firms in New Jersey.

Kennedy also volunteers for charitable and civic endeavors and has been recognized by various organizations for his impactful involvement, including being named “Community Champion” by the Alicia Rose Victorious Foundation in 2013 and 2023 for fundraising efforts, and “Man of the Year” by SJ Magazine in 2019. He has received the “Angel Award” from Bianca’s Kids and has appeared on multiple lists of most influential leaders in New Jersey.
