CSG Law Launches Legal & Professional Malpractice Defense Team

Chiesa Shahinian & Giantomasi PC (CSG Law) has launched a new Legal & Professional Malpractice Defense Team. Representing some of the largest firms in New Jersey, New York, the region and nationwide as well as smaller firms and solo practitioners, the team has significant experience defending attorneys, law firms, their insurers and other professionals – such as accountants, architects and environmental consultants – in a variety of legal matters including allegations of malpractice, breach of fiduciary duty, fraud, aiding and abetting, and other tortious conduct before federal and state courts as well as disciplinary review boards.

“While CSG Law has represented clients in malpractice cases for many years, the new Legal & Professional Malpractice Defense team underscores our dedication to protecting our clients’ interests,” said Ronald Israel, who leads the team and serves as the firm’s General Counsel. “We understand the unique pressures facing lawyers today and are focused on providing experienced counsel to help defend and protect firms.”

As part of each engagement, team members partner with other CSG Law practice groups to ensure a proper and thorough examination of the event out of which the claim originated, as well as an understanding of the applicable law.

“CSG Law is a one-stop shop providing the best-in-class services to our clients,” Managing Member Marie Mathews said. “Our new Legal & Professional Malpractice Defense Team exemplifies this client-first approach through its depth of experience and its ability to cross collaborate with the firm’s other practice groups.”

In addition, the Legal & Professional Malpractice Defense Team will assist clients in establishing procedures and protocols to help prevent potential missteps as part of proactive counsel. Further, CSG Law provides presentations on legal malpractice updates in the law as well as loss prevention techniques – topics on which our professionals have frequently presented.
